The breakdown of individual municipalities shows 22 new cases in the city of Fond du Lac in the past two weeks, and eight new cases in the town of Taycheedah. Oakfield School District is the only district area this week to report zero new cases. In comparison, the North Fond du Lac School District reported a case rate of 96 per 100,000 residents, the highest in the county. Because the population is so much lower, that rate was derived from eight new cases in that two-week time frame. That number accounts for a rate of 69.6 cases per 100,000 residents. Tuesday’s case breakdown by school district areas, not including households that live outside of county lines, reports that between March 8 and 21, residents of all ages in the Fond du Lac School District zone saw the highest number of cases with 37, continuing a steady decrease. The criteria looking at contact tracing is in the yellow "proceed with caution" status. The Safe Restart report, updated each Monday, shows an “excellent” status across most of the criteria: number of cases, testing availability, personal protective equipment and county hospitals' ability to care for patients without going into crisis standards. Since last Friday, the department also added three deaths in connection to COVID-19: a 102-year-old woman and a 91-year-old man died in December, and a 70-year-old woman died in February. The total number of deaths related to COVID-19 in the county is at 103. To date, 11,827 people have been released from isolation measures and the department has recorded 123,823 negative tests. There are 68 active cases in the county, and four of those people are hospitalized. The county's total positive case count is now up to 11,998, as of the 2 p.m. FOND DU LAC - The Fond du Lac County Health Department reported 39 more positive COVID-19 tests since last Friday, according to its Community Impact Dashboard.
